Tennis:

Mary Jeanne (MJ) Chapman will be heading up the 2025 tennis program this summer. There will be 2 courts for play, on Wednesday evenings, from 5:30-7:30 PM, at the PC MARC (outside), with a potential for 3 courts. The courts will be available to use June 18 through September 24.

If you are new to the club, or an existing member who would like to get involved in tennis this season, please follow the link below to install the Team Reach App that will be used to sign up. This app will also list who is playing on each date and contact information for other players if you need to find a sub.

The tennis will be in a round robin format and members are requested that their level be a minimum of 3.0 – 3.5+ for all courts/players to be balanced. Players that sign up and then have to cancel must find a sub for themselves and will need to make sure that that sub has now been added to the list or their name emailed to maryjchapman@aol.com.

It is important that we have players each week, as there is a charge for the courts, and if someone removes their name and doesn’t find a replacement, it affects the play for everyone – so please find a sub for yourself!

There is a nominal court fee that everyone will share when checking in at the MARC desk, $8.00 for the court and $1.50 for the balls, total $9.50 per person. A liability waiver will need to be signed by each player too, that form will be at the desk also.

Once you have installed the app (free) Search for PCMSC Tennis. It will ask for a group code and you put in “Lovepctennis.” Then put in your name, phone, and email. You will see a calendar on the top screen, hit “calendar” and it will bring up all the dates for tennis. Click on any date and it will ask you if you are attending. Click “yes”, “no”, or maybe. You can also click on “view” and it will show you who has signed up. This app will also send out an automatic reminder the day before.

Pickleball:

Pickleball at the MARC is scheduled for every Monday from June 9 -September 22, 6-8 PM.

PCMSC has reserved two courts at the MARC for a maximum of 8 people, weather permitting. In order for this to be fun for everyone, players should be rated at 3.0 or above as this is not beginners’ play.

The format is round robin so everybody has a chance to play with one another. The cost is $7 for each session, paid at the front desk.

Please contact Maureen Bickner by Saturday of each week so she can assign teams and let the MARC know if we will be using both courts.
