PCMSC will be kayaking on the Provo River on Tuesday morning August 4th. Participants are required to rent their river-worthy inflatable kayak from High Country Adventure and select the option “including a tour guide”. The cost is $60 plus tax for the guided river kayak rental with a single kayak and $80 plus tax with a double kayak (please remember to bring money to tip the guide as well). The river route is nearly all Class I rapids with normal water flow. There are a couple of Class II rapids but they can be avoided without much trouble. Rapids are graded from I to V. The river trip takes around 90 minutes.
Participants are expected to have some previous kayaking experience.
Please plan to arrive promptly at 9:15am at the High Country Adventure (Parking Lot), 3702 East Provo Canyon Road, Provo, UT 84604. High Country will shuttle us to the starting location and then we return by kayak to the High Country parking lot.
