Friday, January 2, 2025 – DAY AFTER NEW YEAR’S DAY – EMPIRE PASS
Meet: Park City Bus Transit Center at 1:00PM January 2nd to ride the 1:36 PM Empire Bus to the start of our ride. We will return to the Transit Center either by bus or coasting down Empire Pass Road.
MTB Ride: Approximately 1.0 miles one way with about 600 feet of elevation gain. This is a steep out and back ride on Empire Pass Road to Empire Pass. Be prepared for road and weather conditions of the day. Now is your chance to be creative and doctor your mountain bike tires for additional traction. Enjoy the views of Park City and Heber valley at the pass.
Ride Background: I have been riding this ride with my friends Mike, Gerald and Ted since the mid ’90s. Look at the pictures to see out old bikes and gear.
Bring: Calorie packed snacks, plenty of water, bike tube, tire levers, pump and sunscreen. Please make sure that your tires are pumped up to the recommended tire pressure. Knee and elbow pads recommended.
E-bikes: E-bikes are allowed on this ride.
Don’t Bring: Music boxes, speakers and / or earphones, or dogs.
