MODERATE HIKE – PINEBROOK SPRING TRAIL TO EMILY’S CHAIR

Meet at the Ecker Hill Ski Jump Park on Pinebrook Rd. From the corner of Pinebrook Blvd. and Pinebrook Rd. drive up Pinebrook Rd. until you reach the
tennis courts. https://maps.app.goo.gl/xUjYQ7WnEDnFEWN77. Parking should be adequate, but it is always best to carpool if you can. On time departure at 10:00 a.m.
This is an out and back hike following the Spring Trail and gradually climbing up to Emily’s chair. If you are unfamiliar with Emily’s chair you will learn about it on the hike. This is a very good leaf peeping hike and features nice views of Pinebrook and the UOP. It covers a little over 4.5 miles and climbs a little
over 1,000’. Dogs are welcome if they are friendly to people and other dogs. I plan to bring mine. Hiking pace will average about 2.5 mph, a little slower on the climb and a little faster on the descent, with a total out and back time around 2.5 hours. We will take breaks as necessary along the way and at trail intersections. Bring water and snacks. Cell service is generally good.
