Saturday, July 4; Moderate+ Hike – Jupiter Cirque
Come spend July 4th on the mountain! Meet at the tables by the rock climbing wall at the base of Park City Mountain for an on-time departure of 10:00. Bring your 2026/27 Epic Pass to ride the chairlift for free (even if you’ve only made a $49 deposit). FREE PARKING at the resort. If you don’t have an Epic Pass, you can purchase a scenic lift pass (should be $40ish). The ticket window opens at 9:45, please leave enough time to stand in line to get your ticket so that we can leave at 10:00.
7 miles, 1500 feet of elevation. We’ll take the Crescent Lift and hike up Homerun, past the Yurt, past the Summit House and head towards Jupiter Peak. We’ll hike across many of the ski runs off of the Jupiter area, then make our way back to the Crescent Lift to head back down. Hiking time is 4 hours. Poles will be very helpful to go down some of the steep, loose sections of our route. Sorry, no dogs. Bring a lunch for the top of the Jupiter Lift.
All participants are required to sign the Club’s Activity Release Form which will be provided by the leader..
Please remember the 4 hiking essentials including good hiking or trail footware, sunscreen, a shade hat and water.
If the weather is questionable on the morning of the hike, please call or text, not email, the leader to see if the hike has been cancelled.
