MODERATE HIKE – EMPIRE PASS TO JUPITER PEAK AND BACK

Meet at the old Holiday Village 4 Cinema next to Freshmarket for an on time departure of 9am. Parking is limited at Empire so we will carpool. Parking at Empire is free if you live in 84060 and have got the free permit. Here’s how to apply if you haven’t got it yet and live in 84060:

The hike is 5.3 miles and 1063 vertical feet, taking around 2 hours 45 minutes. It is an out and back. There are spectacular 360 views from the top. We will have a snack at the top. Bring the four hiking essentials. There is no shade so hats are recommended and poles for a couple of steep loose sections.
All participants are required to sign the Club’s Activity Release Form which will be provided by the leaders.
If the weather does not look good on the morning of the hike, contact the hike leaders to see if the hike has been cancelled, text or cell. Please do not send emails on the day of.
