EASY HIKE – CIRCULAR HIKE AROUND MASONIC HILL – NOW STARTS AT 09:00.

Meet at the small parking area on the right hand side as you go up Aerie Drive (see map) for an on time departure.

Tony Edwards will lead an easy hike. This will be a 3.5 miles loop hike with 430 feet of elevation gain at a 1.5 MPH pace and take about 2 hours.  There will be frequent rest stops.  NO ONE WILL BE DROPPED.  There is shade.  Great 360 degree views.  For a detailed map see https://out.ac/aeftX.  In my opinion this is a one walking pole hike on the Edwards Hiking Scale (my Easy hikes range from a zero walking pole on very easy terrain mainly tarmac or gravel; one pole on easy undulating mountain path; two poles a bit more challenging: three poles definitely not one of my easy hikes). This will not be Olympic Race Walking event and there will be no medals awarded, not even a bronze.

Dogs are welcome, subject to local by-laws.  Haven’t a clue about cell service.  There is no restroom at the trailhead or along the hiking trail.

Please remember the 4 hiking essentials including good hiking or trail footwear.  Put on sunscreen, a sun hat, snacks and bring plenty of water.
