Meet: In the Yellow Pine Trailhead lot off of Hwy 150 in the Uintas (near mile marker 6) for an on-time departure of 10:00 AM.
Parking Passes: National Park pass or day use pass for Mirror Lake Highway is required for parking. Day use passes or season passes can be purchased online. For passes go to https://www.recreation.gov/sitepass/74405. Or, from your mobile device: yourpassnow.com. Search Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest. Fees are – $6 for a 3-day, $12 for a 7-day or $45 for a 12-month pass.
BEG+ BEAVER CREEK MTB Ride: Beaver Creek Trail which rambles through fragrant forests and alongside the beaver-inhabited stream. In the winter this trail is groomed and packed, great place to do some snow bike riding. This is a scenic and fun ride! It is approximately 8 miles with about 600 feet of elevation gain. Expect to be on the trail for 2 hours.
Bring: Calorie packed snacks, plenty of water, bike tube, tire levers, pump and sunscreen. Please make sure that your tires are pumped up to the recommended tire pressure. Knee and elbow pads recommended.
Don’t Bring: Music boxes, speakers and / or earphones, or dogs.
NO e-bikes: Human powered Mountain bike required. US Forest Service: e-bikes are considered motorized vehicles. (36 CFR 212.1) e-bike use is prohibited on all non-motorized trails.
Activity release: All participants are required to sign the Club’s Activity Release form that will be provided by the MTB leader at the meeting location.
Must: Check the online Club Calendar for updates regarding the ride in case of bad weather or trail conditions.
