MODERATE HIKE – SNOW PARK TO SILVER LAKE
Friday, September 4 – Moderate hike-and-lunch at Deer Valley from Snow Park Lodge to Silver Lake via the Rossi Hill and the Lookout Trails.
Meet at 9:30am in the Snow Park Lodge upper drop-off/parking area, not Lot 1. Park facing the street at the western end of the parking area. We will sign in and depart promptly at 9:45.
We will plan to ride the chairlift down (it’s free going downhill) and have lunch at the Royal Street Café before returning to Snow Park.
This is a 3.4-mile hike with 950’ of elevation gain. These are well-maintained, shaded trails with nice panoramic vistas and views of Old Town, the Alliance Mine area, and the Ontario Mine. Mountain bikers are occasionally encountered.
Bring the four hiking essentials (hat, sunscreen, water, good footwear).
Dogs are not allowed on Deer Valley trails.
All participants are required to sign the Club’s Activity release form which will be provide by the leader.
