Sunday, August 23 – (Moderate) Hike of Silence in Empire Canyon
Meet at the uphill end of the Upper Sandridge parking lot for an on-time departure of 9:00
6 miles, 1200 feet of vertical. Unless we hike alone, we rarely get to hear the wind in the trees, or the birds singing in those trees. We’ll hike on some less traveled trails in Empire Canyon, which is at the top of Main Street. Dogs welcome, but please bring a leash, as we’ll cross a busy road at one point. And dog owners: please come! You will get a little leeway on being silent, as I know you have to call your dogs.
