Saturday, July 11, Moderate Hike – McConkey’s/Pioneer/Deer Valley
Meet at the picnic tables by the rock climbing wall at the base of Park City Mountain for an on-time departure of 10:00. Bring your 2026/2027 Epic Pass to get on the chairlift for free (even if you’ve only made a $49 deposit). If you don’t have an Epic Pass, day passes are $40ish. The ticket window opens at 9:45, leave enough time to stand in line to buy a ticket so that we can leave at 10:00.
6 miles, 1000ish feet of vertical. It’s going to be hot, so let’s head up the mountain and hike in the upper elevations. We’ll take the Crescent Lift up and hike over to the McConkey’s and Pioneer area before we head into Deer Valley to take the bus back. Sorry, no dogs. Bring a snack/lunch to eat somewhere along the trail.
