B PLUS LEVEL ROAD BIKE RIDE: WANSHIP to Lost Creek Reservoir – 65 MILES+

Location:  Historic Union Pacific Rail Trail – Wanship Trailhead

Meet at the Rail Trail parking lot in Wanship for an on-time departure at 8:30 AM.

Total ride:  65 miles.  No big climbs on this ride but with all the “bumps” we will end up with about 2,700’ of elevation gain.

This is a very scenic ride on lightly travelled roads.  We will start at the Rail Trail parking lot in Wanship.  From there we’ll head towards Coalville on West Hoytsville Road.  After Coalville, we will continue to Croydon and beyond until we get to the top of the dam. Then, we’ll turn around and return to Wanship, the same way we came. There is an option to add the Henefer 5 mile Loop for an additional, relatively flat 5 miles for a total of 70 miles.

This will be a longish, flatish ride that should take us about 4 1/2 hours.  We can have two groups — Suitable for A riders, or B riders looking for a longer ride, but not at the killer A group pace.

As always, prior to the start of the ride, you must sign the Activity Release form provided by the ride leader.
