MODERATE PLUS HIKE – BRIGHTON TO SUNSET PEAK AND BACK
Friday June 19, 8.30am-1pm
Meet at the old Holiday Village 4 Cinema between Kearns Boulevard and Freshmarket for an on-time departure of 8.30am. We will carpool to Brighton. If you want to meet us there around 9.00am, the location is https://maps.app.goo.gl/hFA5TWEjm5PZ51sX9 .
The hike is 6 miles and 1,981 vertical feet, taking around 3 1/2 hours. It is an out and back. There are spectacular 360 views from the top. We will stop for water breaks on the way up and have a snack-break at the top. Note: When we did the hike today we had to cross several snow fields. Poles are
required. Spikes could be useful. You should be comfortable with this amount of vertical feet starting at 8,800’ and crossing snow fields. Bring the four hiking essentials.
All participants are required to sign the Club’s Activity Release Form which will be provided by the leaders.
If the weather does not look good on the morning of the hike, contact the hike leaders to see if the hike has been cancelled, text or cell. Please do not send emails on the day of.
