Sunday, November 23 – Moderate Plus Hike to Little Black Mountain (Partial)
Meet in the parking lot of the Pinebrook Park City Bagels for an on-time departure of 9:00. Please contact me if you’d like to meet at the trailhead.
6 miles, 1,800 feet of vertical. I’m not sure of the conditions of this trail, we could hit mud, I don’t think we’ll hit snow. Parts of this hike are steep, poles might be helpful. Hiking time should be 3-4 hours. Incredible views going up as well as down. Bring a snack/lunch for our turnaround point. Dogs welcome.
You are more than welcome to go to the top, which would turn this into a semi strenuous hike at 8.5 miles with 3,000 feet of vertical. I’m not going that far, which is why I’ve labeled it as a moderate plus.
