E-MTB RIDE CUTTHROAT TRAILS – COYOTE TRAIL SYSTEM

Tuesday July 1, 2025

Meet: At 8:30 am (yep, we don’t like hot weather) Quinn’s Junction in the dog parking lot. If you want to meet us at the Cutthroat trailhead, it is 4 miles east of HWY 40 on route 32. There is a new lot on the left and one on the right both are past the original TH parking area.
Ride: The ride is approximately 12.7m and around 1280 elevation gain. Should take about 2.5-3 hours. Moderate + ride on the Cutthroat Trails, part of the Coyote system. This is an E bike ONLY ride. Meet at Quinns junction north of restrooms where we can pair up if possible and proceed to the trailhead. Due to lots of construction in that area the former TH lot is not available for parking so there are 2 small lot 100 ft away on both sides of the street (Hwy 32). We will ride 12.7 miles of trails including; Wiley Coyote, Sufferin Succotash, Cutthroat Switchbacks, Looney Tunes, Riverside East, Beep Beep, Putty Tat, Tweety Bird, and back to where we started. LOTS of switchbacks, rocks, elevation and flowers. There are great views of the Jordanelle, the new Deer Valley and of course the Tiger Woods Course. Due to construction there are several times we will dismount for very short walk arounds.
Bring for the ride: It’s dusty so a buff, water, bike tube, tire levers, pump, sunscreen, helmet, elbow and knee pads if you like. Make sure your tires are at the proper pressure.
E-bikes: E-bikes only and you must be a solid intermediate rider
Don’t bring: Music boxes, speakers, earphones, or dogs.
Activity release: All participants are required to sign the Club’s Activity Release form that will be provided by the MTB leader at the meeting location.
Must: Check the online Club Calendar for updates regarding the ride in case of bad weather or trail conditions.
