MTB BIKE CLINIC & OPTIONAL RIDE – ROUND VALLEY – CLICK-HERE-TO-SIGNUP
Wednesday, July 9, 2025
General: This clinic and ride is for all Club Mountain and Road bikers. Please join us for a clinic and optional short ride.
Parking: Park in the lot next to the PC Mechanical building across from the gym set. Please text MTB ride organizer(s) if you need more directions.
Meet: On the grassy knoll at the opposite end of the Quinn’s Junction parking lot (near fitness equipment).
Clinic: On-time clinic of 4:30 PM. Park City Bike & Demo will be providing a hands on instruction on basic bicycle upkeep and repair. Get the knowledge and skills to maintain your bike and handle minor issues. We will cover topics like flat tire repair, brake and gear adjustments, chain maintenance, routine maintenance and safety checks. You will also learn what to carry and how to handle common issues encountered on the trail/road. Learning how to properly care for your bike can ensure that it runs smoothly and safely. This is oriented to mountain bikes but road cyclists can also benefit from the clinic. Bring your own bike for practical experience and we might have time for a ride afterwards.
Optional Short Ride: This is for beginner/moderate/advanced levels. We’ll have several routes to choose from. Approximately 5-7 miles and 500 feet of elevation gain. Expect to be out on the trails approximately 1 to 1.5 hours. This is not meant for new riders needing instruction.
Bring for the ride: Water, bike tube, tire levers, pump, and sunscreen. Please make sure your tires are pumped up to the recommended tire pressure. Knee and elbow pads recommended.
Bring for the clinic: Your bike, tools, tire tube, questions, etc.
Don’t Bring: Cow/bear bells (courtesy bells OK), Music boxes, speakers and / or earphones or dogs.
Activity release: All participants are required to sign the Club’s Activity Release Form that will be provided by the MTB leaders at the meeting location.
MUST: Check the online Club Calendar for updates regarding the ride in case of bad weather or trail conditions.
