Tuesday, June 18, Moderate Plus hike – Bald Eagle Trail in Deer Valley

Meet in front of the ticket booth at Snow Park Lodge in Deer Valley at 9:00 AM for an onetime departure.

This will be a hike of about 2.5 miles with a fairly tough ascent of 860 feet in about 1.4 miles followed by a 350 foot decent in about .5 miles on the relatively new Bald Eagle Trail (this trail is uphill for the first two miles with little shade).  Due to the elevation changes we will hike at comfortable pace below 2 miles per hour. With stops, the hike should take about 2 hours with a chairlift ride on the Silver Lake Express back to the starting location (no ticket required for downloading).

Bring the four hiking essentials with plenty of water as this is not a walk in the park.  Hiking poles highly recommended,

Dogs are not allowed on Deer Valley trails.

Cell service available most of the time.

Option to have Lunch at the Sticky Wicket or at the Silver Lake Beach (picture ID necessary for entrance)

All participants are required to the sign the Club’s Activity Release form that will be provided by the leader.
