Please join PCMSC every Thursday morning starting June 23rd for paddle activity at Jordanelle Reservoir. We meet in the Marina office at 8:30 AM sharp so that we can be on the water by 9 AM. Single kayaks, double kayaks and stand-up paddleboards are available.
To reserve equipment you must email David Geffen, davidageffen@aol.com, no later than 7:30 pm each Monday with:
· How many people will be participating, and
· Number of SUPs, Single or Double Kayaks that you want
The cost for rental equipment for our 2 hour paddle is as follows:
· Stand-up paddle board: $25
· Single kayak: $25
· Double kayak: $35
You must have a day pass or annual pass to enter Jordanelle State Park.
Before your first time paddling this summer, you must sign a PCMSC Activity Release Form and hand it to the activity coordinator and an online Jordanelle Rentals Waiver Form. While waivers can be filled out at the Jordanelle Marina office, it will save significant time if you fill out both of these forms before attending the activity.
As of June 17th the reservoir was 76% filled and the walk from the Marina to the beach was pretty easy, but we expect the water level to decrease over the summer months and the walk to get a bit longer. Also, please note that, early in the season the water can be very cold. As of June 17th it was 60 degrees.
