Thanksgiving Point Tulip Festival Excursion, Friday, April 20, 2012
We have planned a day trip to the Thanksgiving Point Tulip Festival on Friday, April 20, 2012. We are not able to schedule a bus for this outing so it will be a carpool. The plan is to leave from the Smith’s parking lot in Kimball Junction at 10:00 am sharp and to return around 4:00pm. You may stay later if your carpool wants to attend later events. Also, please give the driver money for gas.
The entrance fee to the park is $9 for seniors and $10 for adults that have not yet achieved their senior status. You will be responsible for paying the entrance fee when we arrive at the park.
The Thanksgiving Point schedule for the day follows:
FRIDAY, APRIL 20
• 12 noon: Garden Tour (back patio of Garden’s Visitor Center)
• 1 pm: Gardening Demo – Weed Control (Creek Garden)
• 2 pm: Musical Performance by CrosStrung (Waterfall Amphitheater)
• 4 pm: Gardening Demo – Tomatoes (Garden Path Greenhouse)
• 5 pm: Gardens Tree Tour (back patio of Garden’s Visitor Center)
